A nutty UCLA prof assigned actors in his graduate level acting class to read and act out blog entries.

Appropriately it was the Kerry/Swift Boat scandal, one largely fuelled by right wing bloggers, that inspired Professor Mel Shapiro. “I got fascinated with these bloggers who were doing investigative reporting with this incredible passion and wondered if there was a way of putting this kind of thing on stage,” he’s quoted in the LA Times.

The actors, many of whom are a little tech-shy, will be acting out pieces inspired by blogs such as the left-wing group blog Daily Kos and DC intern, turned blogger turned author Washingtonienne as well as pieces inspired by Marie Antoniette fan sites and one based on serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

I would love to see that.
