I’m relieved that 12 of the 13 miners trapped in the North Carolina coal mine survived . . . so many husbands and fathers and sons and brothers. How many coal miners and families have been so fortunate in the history of mining, there or here in Canada?

EDIT: I just learned through Johnnyg that I was just another person who got the misinformation from the first wave of positive headlines this morning. Only one of the thirteen has survived. This is so cruel for the families.
