** If we walked down any street and cited to people the names of pioneering women in Canadian/international society, how many could correctly recognize or identify these women or know anything beyond bare bones?? Might scare us, but it would underline the need for public education/awareness/recognition and, therefore, for one aspect this particular publication wishes to address (among others). This article could be collaborative among the team. I like collaboration :).

** What was your first awareness of being treated differently because you were “a girl”? What was the source of the discriminatory treatment (by discrimination, I mean both the blatant/deliberate and the more unthinking variety), and how did it make you feel? Does it still impact you in any way?
